Election of the Pole of the year under the auspices of TV Polonia
Redbad Klijnstra will be one of the presenters during the show.
On November 17th 2012 in Spant Theatre in Bussum, Redbad Klijnstra will present "Polonus 2012", the election of the Pole of the year. Redbad Klijnstra is a Polish-Dutch actor and movie director. He graduated from high school in Amsterdam, and in 1994 graduated from Warsaw University School of Theatre where he studied acting. He appeared in numerous films, television shows and theater productions. Since 1997 he's played the role of doctor Ruud van der Graaf in the popular Polish TV series "Na dobre i na zle". He currently lives in Warsaw. He is a creator of the annual festival promoting Dutch culture "The Dutchman".

On the 7th of October the deadline for submitting applications for the Second Edition of the Election of Pole of the Year in The Netherlands, was closed.
Applications from candidates for the various categories were being received until the very late evening hours. Similar to theprevious year, interest in the election is high, for which we thank you. In the coming days, the secretariat of Polonus 2012 will be working at high speed to forward all nominations to the Jury of Polonus 2012. The Jury will have a challenging task of selecting three nominees in each category and the winners of the next stage. These will be announced during the awards ceremony to be held on 17 November 2012 in the theater `t Spant in Bussum. You are warmly invited to join.
Independent from the Jury results, you have an opportunity to choose a winner from all the submitted applications. Internet voting commences on 15th of October. All candidates, with their relevant descriptions, written in both the Polish and Dutch language will be displayed under the Link Candidates. The winner will be announced during the Final Ceremony in Bussum.

SECOND EDITION FOR THE ELECTION OF POLE OF THE YEAR IN THE NETHERLANDS
POLONUS 2012
After the great success of the first edition of the Pole of the Year 2011 elections in the Netherlands, it is time to once again choose the exceptional representatives of Poland and put them in the light with the title Polonus 2012.
An independent jury will select winners in the following five categories:
- Business
- Culture
- Science and Technology
- A young Pole of Success
- Honorary Polonus
Candidates for the titles can be put forward until 30 September 2012 by organizations, groups of people as well as the winners of last year.
The audience will also be able to choose a winner from the submitted applications. You can vote for the candidates at the Foundation Polonus www.polonus.nl

Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony to be held on 17 November 2012 in the theater `t Spant in Bussum. The Award Ceremony will be combined with a unique concert of Kayah and Marcin Wyrostek, accompanied by a group Coloriage.

The first edition of the Polish elections in the Netherlands - Polonus 2011 - celebrated on a grand scale, together with excellent finalists, an audience of more than 1,200 people and with a fantastic concert Budka Suflera. According to many attendees it was the best event among the large Polish events in recent years held in The Netherlands.
It will be difficult to repeat this success, but also Polonus Foundation take this challenge this year.
